Volunteering opportunities

We welcome enquiries from any adults who would like to volunteer with us. If you have experience of issues with drugs, drug and alcohol use and want to support others you may also consider joining us as a peer volunteer.

See the drop-down information below or get in touch on 0300 300 7000 or at info@cavdas.com and ask about volunteering opportunities.

Voices Action Change (VAC) empowers individuals and their family and friends affected by substance use to make positive changes to drug and alcohol support services. You would be asked and supported to provide feedback and ideas, and collaborate with service providers, researchers, and government officials to inform the design and provision of services in the future.

We offer training and support to VAC representatives, with various opportunities to share lived experiences and provide support to others, too.

If you want to be part of ensuring that people who use substance use services and their loved ones are at the heart of transforming substance use services for the better, please contact us today.

Peer support is a hugely important part of our services. Our volunteers have experience of issues with drug or alcohol use and so can offer invaluable support and guidance to help others in recovery.

There are several ways to get involved in peer volunteering with CAVDAS, including group facilitation, administration and centre support, buddying and outreach.

Our peer volunteers tell us they get a lot out of the experience, too, including personal and professional development, helping others, and being part of building a supportive network of peers.
