Your Volunteer Experience with CAVDAS

From day one, you’ll be welcomed into the CAVDAS team and given a thorough induction. You’ll learn about our values, the support we provide, and your role as a volunteer.

You’ll have access to our full workforce development programme, including training on safeguarding, boundaries, harm reduction, communication skills, trauma-informed care and much more.

Every volunteer is matched with a link worker who offers ongoing support, and a space to reflect on your experiences.

We believe that volunteering should not cost you. Travel costs and any agreed expenses will be reimbursed in accordance with our volunteering policy.

Volunteering with CAVDAS offers real-world experience in substance and alcohol use support service, harm reduction and community support. You’ll build confidence and transferable skills that can support your journey both personally and professionally.

Our volunteers are at the heart of what we do. By joining us, you’ll become part of a compassionate, supportive community working to make a positive difference in people’s lives.
