CAVDAS Emergency Unit Alcohol Screening Project Worker
Location: University Hospital of Wales (UHW)
Hours: 30 hours per week
Salary: £26,227.50 per annum

Role Overview: This role delivers alcohol screening and brief interventions at UHW, provides harm‑reduction advice, supports detox preparation and aftercare, and helps people access CAVDAS, CAU and wider health and social care services. It involves managing risk, maintaining accurate records, contributing to group work, offering crisis support, and working closely with partners to ensure integrated pathways, including Tier 4 links. The post holder upholds safeguarding, engages in ongoing professional development, and contributes to high‑quality, person‑centred service delivery.
Young People’s MDT Substance Use Worker
Location: Cardiff & The Vale
Hours: 37 hours per week
Salary: £25,939 per annum
Closing: 22/05/2026
Role Overview: The role focuses on providing face‑to‑face support to young people and young adults, completing assessments, and delivering structured interventions. It involves managing a caseload, working collaboratively within the MDT, and strengthening links with families, partners, and community services to ensure safe, informed, and person‑centred care. The post also contributes to safeguarding, service development, accurate record‑keeping, through effective multi‑agency working.
